This sculpture reimagines the heart as a biological clock. A wooden frame holds hand-crafted stained glass and a digital animation of a beating heart, blending traditional clock housing with modern technology. A soundscape of mechanical ticking and organic pulses underscores this combination. The work serves as a memento mori. By pairing the human heart with a glass, wood and electronic clock, it reminds us that our time is measured not by gears, but by our own internal rhythm.
This was made in collaboration with Josh Kery (animation). I was in charge of the glass and fabrication. Sound by Tyler Stoner.
Exhibited at Tiat Gallery (the intersection of art and technology) in San Francisco.
