Generative AI on Photoshop is powerful!

For my Narcissus stained glass piece, I wanted the photograph of my artwork to be staged in a forest background, in order to truly immerse the viewer into the mythological setting. However, that just wasn’t possible because of the time and the place (how am I going to find that in Sacramento?) I could control the settings in the apartment - but the small studio would look very drab which is opposite of the “magical” effect I wanted.

I played around with gen-AI in the past for my “art direction” work at my previous job. I decided to try it out here. Using photoshop generative fill, I was able to remove the boring apartment background and and replace it with a forest. Then using levels and other controls I adjusted the lighting and color. Next, I added a gauesian blur to the background to make the focus on the artwork. Viola! It only took 40 minutes to edit the artwork!
